Mintos review
Platform review
Mintos
Mintos started as a marketplace for loan investing and has been widening into a multi-asset platform. Its latest step is stock investing, launched on 13 October 2026 after the addition of UCITS ETFs: more than 4,000 of the most traded US, European and global stocks, fractional shares from €1, manual orders or recurring plans, all inside the same account that holds its other products.

Important risk warnings
- Your capital is at risk. Stock and ETF prices can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invest.
- Stocks of non-euro companies carry currency risk even when they are priced in euros.
- Mintos also offers loans, bonds, real estate and crypto products with different risks. This review covers stock investing only; read each product’s documentation before investing.
Fees, charges, and key terms
- Mintos states that stock investing has no order fees, no custody fees and no paid subscription tiers, and that US stocks trade in euros with no currency-conversion or FX charges.
- ETFs carry no Mintos transaction or custody fees, but each fund’s annual fee (TER) is built into its price.
- Stocks and ETFs start from €1 through fractional shares. Check the official fee page for any costs outside the launch announcement before funding.
Terms and conditions: Eligibility for stock investing follows Mintos’s general rules, which accept EEA and Swiss residents and exclude US and UK residents; Mintos had not published a separate country list for stocks at the time of writing. Check the official terms, fee page, investor-protection disclosure and your country’s availability before opening an account.
At a glance
Overview
Mintos is a Latvian investment platform that built its reputation on loan investing and now positions itself as a single account for stocks, ETFs, bonds, loans, real estate, crypto ETPs and its Smart Cash product. Stock investing, launched on 13 October 2026, is the newest layer: a catalogue of more than 4,000 US, European and global stocks that can be bought as fractional shares from €1.
For BrokerFind the relevant question is how well it works as a stock broker. The proposition is simplicity and low headline costs for long-term investors who want to keep several asset types in one place. The trade-off is that the product has no track record yet and Mintos has not described its execution and custody set-up in the launch announcement.
Platform experience
Mintos works in the browser and through iOS and Android apps. Stocks can be bought and sold manually, or through recurring plans where you choose the stock, the amount and a weekly, monthly or quarterly frequency; several plans can run at the same time. Orders are sent for execution straight away during market hours at live market prices, shown in euros. The tooling is built for simple portfolio building rather than charting, advanced order types or professional research.
Fees
The headline is attractive: no order fees, no custody fees, no paid tiers, and no FX charges on US stocks because they trade in euros. Because the stock service is brand new and the launch announcement does not describe how orders are routed or priced beyond live market prices, execution quality and any implicit cost cannot yet be independently checked. Currency risk on non-euro companies remains even when the price is shown in euros, and ETFs still carry their own annual fee.
Safety and regulation
AS Mintos Marketplace is a licensed MiFID II investment firm, authorised since 2021 and supervised by Latvijas Banka, the Bank of Latvia, with authorisation to provide investment services across the EU. Mintos states that client cash and securities are held separately from its own assets and are covered by the investor compensation scheme up to €20,000. Such schemes address a firm’s failure, not investment losses from falling prices. Mintos’s other products, such as loans and real estate, carry different risks and are outside this review.
Pros and cons
The strengths are a regulated EU investment firm, a large stock catalogue from €1, no stated order or custody fees and one account for several asset classes. The weaknesses are a stock product with no track record, limited tooling for active traders, no named execution partner in the announcement and no country list specific to stocks.
What works well
- Licensed MiFID II investment firm supervised by the Bank of Latvia
- 4,000+ US, European and global stocks, fractional shares from €1
- No stated order or custody fees and no FX charge on US stocks
- Recurring plans plus ETFs, bonds and other products in one account
- Affiliate link disclosed
What to consider
- Stock investing is brand new, with no track record yet
- Basic tools; not built for active or advanced trading
- Execution partner and order handling are not described in the launch announcement
- No published country list specific to stocks; US and UK residents cannot register
Verdict
Mintos earns a provisional 7.6/10 editorial score. It gains points for its licence and supervision, the low stated costs and the convenience of one multi-asset account. The score is held back because stock investing launched only on 13 October 2026, execution and service quality cannot yet be verified independently, and the tools are basic compared with established stock brokers. We will revisit the score as evidence builds up.
