Our Approach

Last updated: 2026-01-30

Learn about Brokerfind's mission to help you find the right broker through independent, transparent comparisons.

Who We Are

How We Compare Brokers

Our comparison methodology focuses on evidence that readers can verify before opening an account:

Regulation

We identify the legal entity, license, regulator, investor-protection rules, country restrictions, and whether the page refers to an EU or non-EU offer.

Fees

We examine spreads, commissions, conversion charges, deposit and withdrawal terms, inactivity fees, and minimum-deposit conditions from public broker materials.

Platforms

We evaluate platform availability, mobile and web usability, third-party platform support, reliability signals, research tools, and order-flow clarity.

Risk controls

We highlight CFD loss rates, leverage exposure, crypto volatility, binary-option risk, negative-balance protection, and whether products are appropriate for beginners.

Transparency

We check risk warnings, legal documents, support access, affiliate disclosures, partner codes, and whether important limits are visible before signup.

Review maintenance

Reviews include sources, publication dates, last-updated dates, and change-history notes when material facts or scores change.

Editorial Principles

  • No broker can pay to change a score, ranking position, or verdict.
  • Affiliate links are labelled with sponsored/nofollow attributes and disclosed separately from editorial scoring.
  • We prefer primary sources: regulator registers, broker legal documents, pricing pages, platform disclosures, and official risk warnings.
  • If a broker has weaker regulation, offshore entities, binary-option exposure, or country restrictions, that risk is stated even when a commercial link exists.
  • Scores are revisited when fees, licenses, product access, loss-rate warnings, or account terms materially change.

Expertise

Verifiable review checklist

Scores are based on regulation, fees, platform quality, market access, transparency, support, and product-risk controls with the weighting published below.

Authoritativeness

Primary-source preference

Broker pages cite regulator registers, broker legal documents, pricing pages, official platform disclosures, and current risk warnings whenever available.

Trustworthiness

Commercial separation

Affiliate links may generate revenue, but brokers cannot buy a higher score. Sponsored outbound links use nofollow/sponsored attributes and risks remain visible.

How we rank brokers

Weighted scores, broker fit, and limits.

30%

Regulation and client protection

Highest weight. We score license quality, entity transparency, investor-compensation cover, negative-balance protection, and country restrictions.

20%

Fees and execution cost

Spreads, commissions, conversion charges, deposit and withdrawal terms, inactivity charges, and how clear fee information is before signup.

15%

Platform and tools

Web and mobile quality, charting, order flow, third-party platforms, research tools, copy trading, and reliability for frequent use.

15%

Market access

Asset coverage, region availability, account types, minimum deposit, and whether useful products remain available in EU and RoW entities.

10%

Transparency and support

Risk warnings, legal documents, pricing pages, support access, education, and clarity around affiliate offers or partner codes.

10%

User fit and risk controls

Best-fit profile, product complexity, leverage exposure, crypto or binary-option risk, demo access, and suitability for new investors.

Our principles

How we stay independent.

Editorial independence

Broker rankings are based on objective criteria. Affiliate relationships never influence placement or editorial scores.

Transparent methodology

Every comparison criterion is documented and publicly available. You can read exactly how we evaluate each broker.

User-first design

The interface is optimized for decision-making, not engagement metrics. We remove noise so comparisons stay clear.

Sponsored placements, when present, are explicitly disclosed. Sponsorship may influence only a platform's position in the comparison table, never the platform's rating, review verdict, or editorial evaluation.

What We Are Not

Brokerfind is a comparison platform, not an investment advisor. See our How rankings work, and Affiliations & monetization, for full details.
